Taco Lentil Skillet

What you’ll need:

  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil (or fat of choice)

  • 4 cups broth or water

Meat Variation:

  • 1 pound ground meat

Stovetop:

  1. Add 3 tablespoons avocado oil to a large pot.

  2. Pour in contents of package and sauté over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Pour in 4 cups of broth or water. Bring to a boil, cover, lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes, or until lentils are tender but still hold their shape.

Meat Variation:

Brown 1 pound of ground meat of choice and combine with cooked lentils. Enjoy in all of your favorite taco meat recipes!

Instant Pot:

  1. Pour the package contents into the Instant Pot with 3 cups of broth or water.

  2. Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on Manual (High Pressure) for 15 minutes. Allow pressure to release naturally. Once the gauge drops, carefully open the lid.

Meat Variation:

Brown 1 pound of ground meat of choice and combine with cooked lentils. Enjoy in all of your favorite taco meat recipes!

Slow Cooker

  1. Pour the package contents into the slow cooker with 3 cups of broth or water.

  2. Cover and cook on Low for 6-7 hours or High for 3-4 hours, until the lentils are tender but still hold their shape.
