Golden Rice Pilaf
What you’ll need:
3 tablespoons butter, ghee, or olive oil
3 cups broth or water
Optional Extras:
2 cups diced veggies (carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, etc)
Meat Variation:
1 rotisserie chicken, meat removed and shredded
Stove Top:
Add 3 tablespoons butter, ghee, or olive oil to a large pot. Add package contents into the pot and cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in additional diced veggies if desired.
Pour in 3 cups broth or water. Bring to a boil, cover, lower heat and simmer covered for 18 minutes. Turn off heat and let steam for 5 minutes. Carefully remove the lid and fluff rice with a fork.
Meat Variation:
After cooking, add in cooked shredded chicken and stir to combine.
Rice Cooker:
Add 3 tablespoons butter, ghee, or olive oil, package contents, and 2 1/2 cups broth or water to bowl of rice cooker. Stir well to combine.
Cook on the white rice setting.
When done, let rest for 5-10 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
Meat Variation:
After cooking, add in shredded chicken and stir to combine with rice.
